This is the first northern interior Algonquin Park cache originally
placed by Alex and Mike. It is an enjoyable half day canoe trip
including at least 1 portage. If you are lucky you might run into a
moose grazing on lilly pads on your trip. You must have a permit to
make this trip. If you are not staying on one of the car camping
sites or planning to find the cache on an overnight canoe trip you
need to have a day permit. You can get a permit from the Parks
office. It is in an A-frame building at the southern end of Canoe
Lake along Highway 60. If you don't own one, you can rent a canoe
from the Portage Store. It is under the restaurant and giftshop
near the docks. An Algonquin Canoe Routes map would also be
helpful, otherwise it is easy to get lost! Bring lots of water,
snacks and lunch.
The cache is in a clear plastic tupperware container.
Have a good trip and Good Luck!
P.S. Remember what the cache is called!
