Geocache Description:

Denoted as “ Septuagesimo Uno” (Latin for ‘seventy-one’) the cache is hidden in a small community park.

This rectangle park is part of the “Pocket Park Campaign” in New York City. “Pocket Parks”, like Septuagesimo Uno, are most often constructed on small vacant lots located between buildings.

This park was also featured in the comedy "Little Manhattan" (2005), with Cynthia Nixon and Bradley Whitford about two eleven year olds who fall in love. Its in the scene where 10 ¾ years old Gabe (Josh Hutcherson) and eleven year old girlfriend Rosemary (Charlie Ray) karate chop their arch nemesis/neighborhood bully.

This is an Upper West Side Tribute to the delightful string of caches in the East Village. I particularly enjoy the park’s Latin appellation.

Bring a pen. Enjoy.

Congrats to EVF for FTF!
