Kansas City ranks second in the world in number of fountains erected in the city. Only Rome, Italy, has more. This is one in the series of fountain caches honoring this distinction.
This fountain, located in Founders Park and dedicated in June 2007, honors former mayor Ed Eilert’s 28 years of service to the City of Overland Park.
