Sign Post at SzYuangYaKo said : "The highest mountain of Nanhu is
the North Peak of the Five Peaks in Taiwan. Nanhu is eighth ranked
out of 100 as the most spectacular peaks for mountain climbers in
Taiwan. Strong and wide, the giant mountain stands as a grand
momentum and resembles for an emperor. The famous Upper and Lower
Ring Valleys here are the remnants of Glacier Tubs in the Ice Age.
Colorful blossoms in summer and flying snow in winter add to the
beauty of Taroko National Park and illustrate the many
seasons."
This is NOT an easy mountain to conquer, as a matter of fact, there
were people who never made it back home. Although many improvement
were made within the years over the trail condition and emergency
shelter cabin. You still have to make all the preparation before
the hunt. Safety is all that matters. Please refer to the attached
image about the estimated time for the various trails, and Mountain Nanhu for some magnificent
photos.
The cache is an 1cm diameter & 4cm long transparent cylinder
located at Nanhu Master Peak. Obviously there is nothing inside it
except the log paper, bring your own pencil or shoot a photo of
your GPSr with the benchmark to claim the cache.
