This is a drive up cache location to the former site of the Taneum Point Lookout.
The Taneum Point Lookout was built in 1932 and destroyed in 1966. The unusual thing about this 40 foot look out tower, it was not built on the top of a mountain or hill. Instead it was over looking the Taneum canyon.
Very little is left of the original structure. There are three anchors and some of the footings are over the bank.
Close by is a survey marker.
The cache container is a 3" weather tight cylinder. It will hold small items and TB's. Trust your GPS as it should place you near its hiding spot. Consealment is important for the long term for this cache. This spot is frequented by many and may be a choice hunting stand durning hunting season.
