Geocache Description:

Snickett Park is a great place to view the ocean and rugged rock formations. There are many benches to sit and enjoy the day. Close by is a demonstration garden of West Coast plants.

But what is a snickett? It is a neat word but I cannot find many references to it, aside from the book series. It seems in England the alleys running behind or between buildings were sometimes referred to as 'snickets'. That could make some sense in this park as many years ago the steam ships used to come to Sechelt and I can envision the residents walking through the 'snicket' to the pier. If anyone has more information on 'snickets' please post it.

Enjoy the cache!
