Another little gem in the midst of Palmer. Take a moment to check out the represented flora.
Who knew this was here? Not me, until I began caching.
You know how it is. First you discover geocaching and enjoy the hunt.
Then you start hiding caches. And everywhere you look you see a nook or crany where a cache might live. You look down new roads and byways. You see local parks in a new light. And you begin to carry all sorts of weird stuff in your car (like little tablets, and match containers, and magnets, and tape. . .)
I had my eyes on this location for awhile, but only stopped by for the first time today. I was delighted at what I discovered, and hope you are too. As a former forestry major and a timber inventory rat w/ the USFS, I love any excuse to check out trees!
Look closely. You will need to unscrew the bottom of this cache to get at the log. Please don't remove the cache cap from its location.
