Galgbacken i Södertälje
Det här är den gamla galgbacken i Södertälje där den senaste hängningen gjordes 1796.
Platsen har troligtvis använts som avrättningsplats sedan medeltiden.
Platsen var väl synlig från staden och fungerade som en ständig påminnelse för
invånarna hur det kunde gå om de inte följde lagen.
This is the old gallows hill of Södertälje,
Criminals were executed here from the Middle ages to 1796.
The hill was in clear sight from the town and worked as a constant reminder
of what happened if you broke the law.
