The Cache Across America Series: This is a series of caches that will take you on a nationwide tour of the entire United States. One cache in this series is hidden in each of the 50 United States. These caches each contain a three-digit numeric clue that that will lead you to this final cache located somewhere in our nation's capitol upon completion of the series.

We hope you have enjoyed your tour of the 50 United States of America. This final cache will lead you to our nation's capitol, a fitting end to your tour of this great land. There are so many wonderful monuments and places to visit in Washington DC that we couldn't even begin to name them all.

We also hope that while you have been caching in all 50 states, you have been able to see places you may otherwise have never visited and have enjoyed finding the caches along the way. We hope that this series has shown you what a wonderful country this truly is. The true prize in completing the Cache Across America series will be the memories of a journey that will last a lifetime.

We would like to give a huge thanks to all 50 of the state hiders, both past and present. Also - a big thanks to Flyingmoose for volunteering to hide and maintain this final cache. Please note that the five-star difficulty of this cache does not represent this particular hide but instead the difficulty in collecting the necessary information to solve this puzzle.

About this cache: Do not search for this cache at the listed coordinates. Of course, the cache is not in the middle of the tidal basin and there is certainly no need to swim. Simply solve the puzzle at the bottom of this page to obtain the correct coordinates.

Logging Requirements: In order to log this cache, you must have completed the required cache of this series in each of these 50 United States. As was mentioned in the state cache pages, you must have verified each of those 50 finds either by posting a photo with your logs or by having made alternate arrangements with the individual cache owners. Logging this cache without first finding the required 50 state caches will result in a deleted log.

While participating in the series you will have recorded each of the three-digit codes provided in the state caches. You will use those codes in the puzzle below to determine the coordinates of the final cache.

Repeat this process for the W coordinates. Simply add the codes you found while searching for the second 25 states admitted to the Union. Once you have this number, add it to the W coordinates listed on this page above (7657000) just as you did for the N coordinate. Once you have this number, subtract 12769 from your total and you will now have the final W coordinates.

Now you are ready to search for the final cache. Please confirm your Final coordinates with Lorriebird or ZSteve after solving the puzzle. Then be sure and contact flyingmoose before searching for the Final cache!
