Geocache Description:

Atop Storm King Mountain, at 1300 feet, share the view with the birds. Here you'll find an incredible panorama of the Hudson Highlands which can be reached after a pleasant hike.

You are looking for a lock 'n lock container. Please exercise discretion when retrieving the cache and take care to replace it as you found it.

This cache can be best enjoyed as a clockwise loop hike starting at the Butter Hill South cache. From here you can proceed to By The Way which provides a a natural transition to a trail that will return you to your starting point.

Originally this cache was going to be at the summit, but the view here is less obscured and has a wider panorama. Do take time to stop at the summit and enjoy the view from there though.

Please take care as some of the rocks can be slippery and it's a long way down to the bottom.

This cache has NYS permit SK-07-02
