There are several roman roads leaving Winchester, most of them are still main roads in long straight stretches, but in some places all trace has gone.
The coordinates above are for the only roman street that King Alfred kept when he redesigned what remained of Venta Belgarum, but they will not help you to solve this puzzle.
I have disguised the whereabouts of this cache and when you have unscrambled the numbers below you will see that it is indeed on a stretch of roman road , and that parking can be found less than 300 passi away.
