Along the paved Mississippi River levee bike trail in South St
Paul.
Before we begin, I want to state loud and clear... the cache is
NOT (repeat, NOT!) on the railroad side of the trail. Both stages
are on the river side of the trail and whatever your GPS may read,
if it points toward the tracks, it is wrong.
OK, let's go for a Rodney Hunt today!
Find Rodney and you will find two sets of numbers that could be
interpreted as partial coordinates in the form of:
N 44° XX.XXX
W 093° 0Y.YYY
If you found the right numbers and entered them in properly, they
should direct you about 3 1/4 miles west of Rodney. HOWEVER... that
is NOT where the cache is!
Instead, do a little simple arithmetic.
XX.XXX + 318 = the North coordinates
6231 - Y.YYY = the West coordinates.
The final is very close to Rodney and should take very little
hunting. But bring a pen or pencil. If you are very far-sighted,
you may also want to bring your reading glasses or a magnifying
glass. No... the final isn't that small!
