An evening to get together, discuss geocoins, add some new
icons to your profile, do some buying and trading, and enjoy good
company.
Geocoins have been around for a while now, but it's only been in
the last 2 years that they've really taken off. This event will be
a chance to show off your coin collection, or perhaps start one.
There will be coins available for sale and trade, and an event coin
will also be available for purchase.
Bring your activated coins as well if you are into trading
tracking numbers. Tables will be set up to allow people to show
what they have brought.
The schedule for the evening is fairly relaxed.
6:45pm - Event begins, registration and socializing
7:15pm - Welcome and short introduction to geocoins
7:30pm - Event coin goes on sale
8:00pm - End of silent auction of geocoins
8:15pm - Drawing for door prizes
8:30pm - Clean-up and leave
The event will be held in Room C of the Keshen Goodman Public
Library in Clayton Park. There is wireless internet available but
you must have a library card to access the network.
If you don't have any geocoins, this may be your chance to start
collecting! There will be some coins available for purchase, a few
will be in the door prizes, and there will be others involved in a
silent auction to help cover the cost of the event.
