FTF009: Mystery Park Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

CTReviewer: Greetings from Geocaching.com

I have been looking at caches in the area that have been temporarily disabled for a while now and it looks like your cache has been under the weather for some time. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time I don’t think we can do so any longer. Therefore, I have archived this cache. If you haven’t done so already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

When repairs to this cache are completed and it is time to have it reposted, it will be no problem. Just drop me a note and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache or better yet, the URL of the cache page. You will still be able to access your cache page just as before by going to your “My Cache Page” and clicking the link of your cache.

I will be more than happy to take a look at your cache again to see if it is still is within the guidelines of the Geocaching.com website for cache placement and posting.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.

Thanks for your understanding,
CTReviewer

Geocache Description:

This cache was intended to be solved by the 4 images below.

You can head out to the above coordinates if you want, but you won't find a cache there. I won't be giving you any coordinates and you don't need any. A map might help find this cache.

This cache is located somewhere in Fairfield County. Actually, it is located somewhere in the following image.

By clicking below, you'll see a series of four images. I think that is all you need to find this cache.

First, take a look at this one. Got your bearings? If not immediately, then after a little study, you should be able to identify the areas in this image.

Next, check this one out. Hmmm. Do you recognize certain things in this one?

Here's the next one. Now we're getting close. Cool, but still so many hiding spots.

And here's the final image. There it is. I can see it from here.

Please understand the following...
a. In all of these photos, up is roughly north.
b. The aerial photos are dated. Some changes may have taken place in the landscape.
c. The cache is located at the very tip of the white arrow.

Cache idea inspired by: bennet.

Information about the name of this cache: The First To Find project is a unique project designed to reward those cachers who are quick enough to snag the FTF. It started with clemsonbeav's FTF001: Welcome to Honea Path! on 31 Jul 06. Whoever is the FTF at a FTF cache then has a responsibility. That cacher then must go and hide a cache to be the next cache in the FTF project, numbering the cache accordingly. Additional instructions to the FTF cacher may be provided. Hopefully, this project will quickly spread across the state, then the nation, then the world! If you are FTF, please do your part to expedite this project's spreading! If, however, you are FTF and are unable or unwilling to continue this project, please make it clear that you are deferring until the next finder. There is no obligation to participate!

NB: I realize this area could use some CITO, maybe bringing cachers here will help maintain the area.
