I thought it would be fun to see how many new cache sites I could find near to Mills in my local area. These will include Watermills and Windmills, some still in use, some now used for other purposes. Most mills are sited in nice surroundings, so I hope you will enjoy visiting them. I will be adding new caches to this series over the next few months.
All the micros are hidden right on public footpaths. None of them will be very close to private houses. Some of them are near public highways, but many are along private roadways, with only footpath access. Please park considerately, and do not drive along any private roads to access the caches.
This mill still has a functioning water wheel. I am told that the innards of the mill are in good working order. You can see that the stream has been diverted along the side of the hill, to feed the mill wheel.
There is room to park on the side of the road, in a couple of places, along nearby Langton Lane.
