This Cache is located across the harbor of Puerto Plata in the Costambar area. Access to Costambar from the main road is via a dirt road and then a security gate followed by a paved road. Advise security that you are going to a restaurant or shop. ie Sole Mio for pizza or Pequeno Mundo for bar foods. Drop by it or one of many other restaurants or shopping establishments.

The Cache lady has moved. If you wish to see the cruise ships in the harbor from the opposite side of the harbor I'm posting the previous original coordinates of the lookout. 19 48.363 N, 70 42.372 W. You will be able to see the heart of Puerto Plata, it's harbor, the basilica, the mountain behind it with the cable car, and close on the right the electrical generation facility for the region.
You will also get to see Costambar which is home to a diverse group of Transplanted Canadians, Italians, Americans, Germans, and of course Dominicans.
The Cache is currently relocated to a safe and scenic spot. From the updated coordinates you will see the beach and the family owned coffee shop "Estrella del Mar". Ask any one there and they will bring you the Cache. Most mornings the Cache lady will be there as well.
