Not far off a track but wellies or sturdy boots recommended specially after wet weather.
This cache was inspired by the Rudolf Hess cache. The final location is close to the former airfield attached to the Duke of Hamilton's hunting lodge at Dungavel, and this is where Hess was heading on his ill-fated flight.
Park at N55,36.832, W4,07.863 near Dungavel IRC and head up the track. There's not much to see on this part of the trip, although you may have to dodge some fallen trees. You have a decision to make at N55,36.715, W4,07.030. After about 500m the track peters out and you may have to jump a few deep (and wet) ditches before you reach the edge of the forest. You'll find yourself on the side of a wide open valley, not far from the cache.
When you leave the car park, drive to N55,06.534 W4,08.147. On the way you'll pass the Dungavel Immigrant Removal Centre, which is what the hunting lodge has become since it stopped being a prison. Once you reach the coordinates, you can see the former location of the landing field over to the right of the road. You will have managed what the second-highest Nazi didn't.
