Through the efforts of the Town Council, the Glocester Land Trust was established by the Rhode Island Legislature in 1987. With the enthusiastic support of the citizens of Glocester and their elected officials, the Trust is dedicated to the preservation of Glocester's rural heritage as an environmental, educational, and recreational resource for all who live, work, or visit in the Town of Glocester.
The sites within the Town of Glocester which have been preserved as open space are administered by the Glocester Land Trust in cooperation with the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (DEM). Glocester Land Trust sites are open from dawn to dusk so please DO NOT go here in the dark.
I would recommend that you wear orange even though hunting is not allowed. There have been illegal hunters at other GLT areas in the past.
The old cart path has a lot of blow downs but stay the course and you'll get there. Enjoy!
