Geocache Description:

In DeWolf park near waste treatment plant.

DeWolfe park in Bedford is a lovely spot well worth a cache. Before the park, there was a waste treatment plant. This plant would be in plain sight of this park, so trees and shrubs were planted to hide the plant. These trees were planted and forgotten. A great example of what not to do to a tree. Do not stake trees. If a tree needs stakes to hold it up it didn't have enough root to start with. If you must stake a tree, remove the wires within two years. Or this is what will happen!! Trees are stimulated to add diameter by thier movement in the wind. Without this stimulation trees add hieght without width. That is what happened to the tree the cache is hidden in. It could not hold itself up. Others have been strangled to death by the wires. Lovely park, one of my favorite but I can not save these trees. The cache is a small cammoed container tied in a tree that has bent over. It is near the fence to the treatment plant. Parking is very close to this cache.
