Geocache Description:

Lazy River Cache will be found along the Pere Marquette River near a city owned public campground. No permit or fee is required for entry. As you enter the tree cover you'll come upon a foot trail, just stay on the foot trail and you'll cross a wooden bridge. Your on your own from there. Look for a clear plastic screw-on-top pretzel container. Feel free to drive or walk around the park at your leisure. "BONUS" In addition to the cashe gift of your choosing, one of the first 3 geocashers who successfully visit this cashe will almost certainly win an additional prize. Details and further instructions are in the log book. Good Luck..

That was the description in 2001, now Lazy River is among the 100 oldest caches in Michigan. The original trail has faded but it’s still there. In 2001 the first three finders were given the choice of a key and new coordinates to Rog’s house where your key opened a padlock on one of three birdhouses, whichever key yours unlocked you took that birdhouse as a prize.

This old container really prefers to be placed lid side down, it helps to keep everything drier on the inside.
