The cache is NOT
located at the above
coordinates.
A short hike to a beautiful spot located off of
the Bridle Path (visit
link) in Kennebunk (visit link) .
Part of the trail runs behind houses with barking dogs, FYI, so
daylight caching is probably the best idea!
The given coordinates (visit
link) will bring you near the entrance of Sea Road School
(visit link) .
You will see a few places to park
(visit link). There is no need to go near the
school.
The trail begins here. I strongly suggest you
stay on this trail for approximately .2 miles before turning off on
the secondary path towards the cache (or you may end up swimming).
Then stay straight on the trail for as long as you can. There is an
incline at one point which can be slippery when wet, so please use
caution.
(By the way, down this same trail about a half of
mile South there is a monument to Fort Larrabee, the first
settlement in Kennebunk back in the 1700's (visit
link) .)
Cache is a log only cache (visit link). Your
gpsr may go crazy in the trees, but just put on your geocaching
hat (visit link) and look
around.
I hope you enjoy this find
(visit link) as much as I did! This place can be very busy,
especially in the the summer, so be discreet and rehide well,
please (visit
link) .
