Our GPS Adventures Exhibit: U.S. Space & Rocket Center log ~

"I lived near the Space Center for a couple years when I was a kid, but unfortunately, never got to go. 20 years later, thanks seeing this GPS Adventures pop on Geocaching after relocating to the Southeast, I was reminded of this awesome place, and asked the better half of LestISmiteThee if he'd like to go too.

It turns out my husband, who's from GA, also never got to go even though he always wanted to. Well, that wouldn't fly. So we packed and drove up after attending our Gulf Coast Meet'n'Eat (Sept. Breakfast Edition) -- finding caches along the way, of course -- and spent the day together marveling at and interacting with 50+ years of space science.

It's one thing dreaming about being an astronaut as a kid; as an adult, it's mind-blowing to think of all the math, science, engineering, aviation, robotics, and so much other hard work that made things like satellites, GPS, and Geocaching possible!

We had fun solving the puzzles in the GPS Adventures maze and discovering our treasure cities. I was also happy to see Geoswag at the gift shop and purchased a U.S. Space & Rocket Center GPS Maze Geocoin as a momento.

Thanks so much for this adventure! Such a happy day, well worth the trip!"
