Geocache Description:

This is the first of a set of 3 caches containing Music CDs, Films on DVD and Books.

The others in the set are
SwapShop Set - Books
SwapShop Set - DVDs

The co-ordinates at the top of the page take you to a location that must be visited to get the location of the actual cache.

How many CDs in your collection are perfectly good, but never listened to? Why not give others a chance to discover them, and try some new music yourself? The cache is an ammo box containing 20 CDs and log book. All CDs are music albums by known artists, composers and bands. As of 3 August 2006, the cache contains:

To maintain the quality of the collection, please abide by these rules:

  • No freeby CDs
  • No copies
  • No CD singles
  • Only CDs in their original cases, with booklet
  • If the artist is not universally known, please include a review (from Amazon.co.uk?)
  • Only include CDs others may actually want!!
  • Please only take one if you leave one.

The best place to park is N51o 57.429 W0o 21.240, but please don't leave valuables in your car. From here, you can either start by following the Icknield Way footpath, or over the stile into the field. Please keep dogs on a lead. This is grazing land. The co-ordinates at the top of the page take you to a feature used by Ordnance Survey. You will find four numbers there, ABCD. The cache is at N51o 56.(A+D)8C W0o 22.D4(C-B).

A fair climb, but worth it for the views. Watch out for rabbit holes, there are a fair few to stumble down. The actual cache location may be overseen by muggles, so watch out.

When you get back to the carpark, why not visit the 'Live and Let Live'. Really nice pub/ restaurant. Great value at lunchtimes. A bit expensive but worth it for those special occasions in the evening. Just turn left out of the carpark. Its about 1/2 mile on your right.

Hope you enjoy the cache. Its my first - let me know what you think!
