TO REGISTER: It's a FREE event! Simply LOG A "WILL ATTEND" on this event page. Please include the number of people on your team and tell us which state or country you're from in your log! Register early to help us plan!

AT THE EVENT...

SIGN IN at Regner Park when you arrive at the event to Sign the official log book and Get a Free Official Drawstring Bag (while supplies last). These bags contain deals, city information, and various contest entry forms like the Official Cache Ba$h Booklet, MAP, and Official 66-Cache Playing Card. Registered teams will also receive a Cash Prize Raffle Ticket for each member of the team that is present at check-in. The raffle is on Saturday, August 10, at 5:00pm. You must be present to win.

What is there to do at the Ba$h?

The 66 Cache Hunt We've enlisted area geocachers to hide 66 new caches around the West Bend area. Each geocache contains a stamp or code word. When you find the cache, stamp your Offical Playing Card. You earn more raffle tickets the more caches you find! The Official Booklet has all the cache information, hints, and a map of all 66 caches! A GPX file and Bookmark List will be added to this event page after they publish on Aug 9. Click here for Instructions on using Bookmark Lists.
$1000 Cash Prize Drawing
Every registered person who signs in at Regner Park (in person!) gets one raffle ticket. Be sure to place your Cache Prize Ticket in the correct Raffle Barrel!
1st prize=$500, 2nd=$250, 3rd=$100, 4th=$100, 5th=$50. Must be present to win.
General Prize Drawing Prizes include geocoins, cache containers, Prime membership, gift certificates, and more. Each registered team can earn raffle tickets by finding our 66 geocaches, playing geo-bingo, or playing other official games. Must be present to win.
Cache Ba$h Geocoin for Sale A limited edition 2024 West Bend Cache Ba$h Geocoin will be sold on a first come, first served basis at Regner park. Credit cards are now accepted!
Lab Caches There will be Adventure Lab Caches available during our event! You must download the Geocaching Adventure App on your smartphone. Available in App Store or Google Play. Stay tuned.
Cache Ba$h Souvenir Earn a Virtual Souvenir on your Geocaching profile by logging an 'Attended' Log on Saturday, Aug 10.
Geo-bingo Find teams that match squares on your bingo card (found in your goody bag) to earn a raffle ticket for the General Prize Drawing
Signal the Frog Will Signal the Frog be at the Cache Ba$h?  Stay tuned to find out!
Pool and Splash pad Participants may use the pool and splash pad at Regner Park free of charge. Pool only if lifeguards available.
Geocoin and Travel Bug Exchange Trackable items can be traded at the WGA Booth this year
Wisconsin Geocaching Association booth Stop by to learn about the WGA. They are a great resource for geocaching questions. They often have additional merchandise for sale and perhaps bonus fun games!
Vendors There will be a variety of geocaching vendors and educators at the event.  Stay tuned for details.
Food vendors will not be present. Ask a committee member for local restaurant recommendations.
Sunday Pancake Breakfast Sunday All-you-can eat Pancake Breakfast at Regner Park - by Wisconsin Geocaching Association. Plus more fun games. See schedule below for details.
Other satellite events See schedule for details. There is typically a Thursday Meet and Greet, a Friday event, and a CITO event.

Lodging

View featured hotel and camping options here at the West Bend Area Chamber website. During August there are many weddings that take up hotel rooms. We recommend you make your reservations early! Rates will vary by hotel but there are many reasonably priced rooms in close proximity to the Cache Ba$h. If you are having trouble finding open rooms/prices, call the Chamber for assistance.


COUNTY PARKS PASS

City parks are all free, but some County parks require a $5 entrance fee for the weekend. We will sell the County Passes for those who wish to enter or find older caches.


Dog Owners!

According to West Bend ordinance, pets are not allowed in Regner Park. West Bend has an off-leash dog park: “Rolf’s Park” is comprised of 10 fenced-in acres and is only 5 minutes from Regner Park! Ridge Run Park and County parks also allow dogs. As an attendee of our event, you may use Rolf’s Park at no charge. Here are the coordinates: N43 24.329 W088 12.115

There is also a new dog park at Sandy Knoll County Park at 2064 Wallace Lake Rd in West Bend.

Instructions:
How to Download a Bookmark List to use on your Official Geocaching Phone App:
Note: This feature requires Premium Membership.
1. Select a cache or this event in your app and scroll to the bottom. Click on "Open in Browser"
2. You will need to "Sign In" to your geocaching account in your browser (upper right).
3. You can now click on a Bookmark List in your browser (usually found to the right of the cache description). Choose the one you want.
4. In the upper left-hand corner, click on button that reads "Copy List"
5. Close your browser and return to your Geocaching App. Return to the main startup screen. In the bottom bar, click on "Lists." The List you just copied will now appear.
If you'd like practice, try it out with the West Bend GeoTour caches. Go to GC53BAT and give it a try.
