Geocache Description:

About SideTracked

This cache belongs to the SideTracked series. It is not designed to take you to a magical place with a breath taking view. It's a distraction for the weary traveler, but anyone else can go and find it too. These are cache-and-dashes for public transport users, which can be found at or near train stations, ex-train stations or near miniature railways. There are currently over 4,500 SideTracked caches in more than 30 countries around the world. More information can be found on the SideTracked series website.

We found several SideTracked caches on a recent visit to the UK and noticed that there aren't many in the US yet, probably because of our woefully inadequate public transportation system. We decided to adopt the concept in our local area and hopefully it will spread.

About This Station

Corona–North Main is a Metrolink station in Corona, California, on the 91/Perris Valley and Inland Empire–Orange County lines. It opened on Nov 22, 2002. Corona–North Main station consists of two side platforms serving two tracks. The Corona Transit Center located at the station offers connections to Riverside Transit Agency and the City of Corona's Corona Cruiser buses, all of which are free with a valid Metrolink ticket or pass.

The station is located near the former Santa Fe Railway depot, now used as a restaurant and bar. If you have time, there's a quick multi at the old depot, GC19ENR.

About This Cache

The cache is just off Metrolink property, per SideTracked guidelines. You shouldn't have any trouble grabbing it if you have 5-10 minutes to spare before your train arrives. You're looking for a centrifuge tube (small, clear plastic tube about 1" long). It is at wheelchair-accessible height so please replace as found to maintain accessibility.
