Im Jahr 2016 wurde an der neuen Landebahn Nordwest des Frankfurter Flughafen der Spotter Point Nord, auch Aussichtspunkt Düne genannt, von Fraport gebaut. Hier kann man von einer Aussichtsplattform direkt auf die Landebahn und den Taxiway blicken, ohne den Zaun im Blickfeld zu haben. Die "Plane Spotter", also Leute, deren Hobby es ist, Flugzeugbewegungen zu verfolgen und startende wie landende Flugzeuge zu beobachten und zu fotografieren, finden hier fast ideale Voraussetzungen. Der Blick geht hier bei gutem Wetter über die Landebahn zum Hochtaunus mit großem und kleinen Feldberg sowie weiter nordöstlich bis zur Skyline von Frankfurt. Bei schlechtem Wetter kann man sich unter der Plattform in einen kleinen Unterstand verziehen.
Um diesen virtual Cache als gefunden zu loggen, gibt es zwei kleine Aufgaben:
1) Welcher Vogel ist auf der Tafel vor der Terrasse gezeigt? Da die Information auf der Tafel kaum noch lesbar ist, gibt es unter der Tafel einen Sticker mit dem Vogelname.
2) Was steht auf dem Schild unter dem Verkehrszeichen hinter dem Zaun? Nehme den BW als Lösung.
optional: fotografiere Dich, dein GPS oder einen anderen persönlichen Gegenstand an den Koordinaten zusammen mit einem Flugzeug und hänge das Foto an dein Log an.

Parken kann man am besten am Wegpunkt. Von dort gelangt man in ca. 5 Minuten zum virtual Cache. Bitte nicht vor oder an der Zufahrt zur Flughafenfeuerwehr parken.
In 2016 the spotter point nord was built from Fraport besides the new landing runway northwest. From here you can see the landing runway and the taxiway without having the fence in the field of vision. "Plane spotter" are people who like to follow airplane movements and also like to watch and take pictures from airplanes. Here they find almost ideal conditions. The view goes from the landing runway over to the Taunus hills with the großer and kleiner Feldberg and to the northeast towards the Frankfurt skyline. At bad weather conditions you can hide in a shelter under the platform.
You have to complete two tasks in order to log this virtual cache:
1) Which birds name is showed on the display in front of the platform? Due to bad readability of the information on the display please look out for a sticker with the birds name placed under the display .
2) Which words are on the plate under the traffic sign behind the fence? Decrypt the characters by using this key A=1, B=2,... and calculate the sum
optional: take a picture from you, your GPS device or something personnal together with an airplane at the listing coordinates and upload it to your log.

You can park your car at the given waypoint. From the parking area you will reach the virtual cache in about 5 minutes walk. Please do not park in front of the airport fire brigade.
