Geocache Description:

THE ADVENTURES OF ACE TUPPER: WRINKLES IN TIME
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 14, 2016
EVENT STARTS: 6:00PM
EVENT ENDS: 10:00PM

We know traveling through time portals and hiking the miles of trails at FDR State Park make for a hungry geocacher, so the Going Caching Crew has arranged for a catered dinner right in the park. Meal tickets are available in the Going Caching online store. Of course, you are welcome to eat before you come or even bring your meal with you. We will begin serving at 6:00pm.

MENU
Smoked chicken breast or leg quarter
Mashed potatoes
Green beans
Roll
Drink (lemonade, sweet tea, unsweet tea)
Dessert

Geocaching vendors will be on site for your shopping pleasure!

Then, at just about dark, the Going Caching Players will take the stage to present the further chronicles of Ace Tupper. When we last saw Ace three years ago, he had met his fate while attempting to return hundreds of Lumenese scarabs and other artifacts to their rightful place in what is now FDR State Park. A freak storm (some claim it was a mysterious power known as "The Source") brought down Ace's plane and he perished while attempting to parachute to safety ... or so we thought. Is Ace Tupper really back from the dead? If so, where has he been and what has he been up to? To find out the answers to these and other questions, bring your own chair and see The Adventures of Ace Tupper: Wrinkles in Time!

Stage show begins at 8:00pm. Please be seated no later than 7:45pm.

ACTIVITIES

Going Caching 2016 Pre-Event T-Shirt Puzzle with $100 FTF Prize (starts now!)
Get your hands on this year's pre-event t-shirt then get your brains in high gear to solve a puzzle which leads to a loggable geocache hidden somewhere in FDR State Park. Only puzzle solvers will know what to do and where to look for the final clue during Going Caching 2016. The final clue, the geocache and the $100 FTF prize can be found beginning Saturday, October 15th. Sorry ... early time travelers have no advantage on this one.

Mystery Match Button Contest (Friday evening through Saturday)
A Mystery Match Button is included in every paid registration package. Wear your button while keeping an eye out for another one just like it. After meeting up with your match, both of you come to the Going Caching Store Tent to spin the prize wheel and see what you each win!

The Perils of Ace Tupper: A Time Portal Adventure (Friday through Saturday)
Assemble puzzle pieces in your trading card packs to obtain the clues you need to journey through time portals and help Ace Tupper repair tears in the fabric of time. You'll need Ace's geocoin book of portal instructions, portal key collectable tags and a full set of puzzle pieces in order to keep the universe from unraveling. Operate the time portals, save the day and every puzzle piece you correctly deposit is an entry card for some really cool prizes.

The Time Flies Travel Company (T.F.T.C) Challenge (Friday through Saturday)
Obtain your passport and embark on the T.F.T.C. Challenge where you choose which geocaches and adventures to find. Stamp your passport at a few difficult caches or a whole lot of easier ones to accumulate enough points to earn a collectable T.F.T.C. Challenge tag. Continue on your adventure and qualify for a very special trackable geocoin. Passports are included in each paid registration package and are available separately in the going caching store. One passport per individual.

Lab Caches (Thursday through Sunday)
Enjoy outside-of-the-box geocaching creations by the Going Caching Crew.
Rules? We don't need no stinking rules!

Geocaching Horseback Rides (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)
Ever geocached on horseback? Here’s your chance to saddle up and hit the geocaching trail! Take a one hour guided horseback ride on one of the many beautiful FDR State Park horse trails and find several unique geocaches along the way. These caches are only accessible from horseback. The geocaches are placed so that you don’t even need to dismount in order to sign the log book. For tickets and more information, visit the goingcaching.com website.
