Start by the Fuente Lavadero de Ferreirola, the recommended parking spot. (The water coming from the the three brass spigots is potable. It is not many years since washing was done in the lavadero, but everyone has a washing machine now.) Walk east, signposted as to Busquístar, leaving the path to Atalbéitar on your left. Carry on in the same general direction as far as you can, then turn right and left to the edge of the village and the path to Busquístar.
The cache is not at the Fuente Gaseosa, which is too close to the cache ‘Era del Trance’, but at an unexceptional spot on the way. At the time of setting there is a collapse in the retaining wall not far away, caused by heavy rain I’m sure, not by geocaching. But don’t remove any load-bearing stones! The cache is behind a small and loose stone added by me, with 'GC' written on it in pencil.
Carry on along the path to reach the actual Fuente Gaseosa. Fizzy water straight out of the ground! And quite safe and pleasant to drink.
To get to the next cache, Era del Trance GC36GZ1, carry on along the path to the ‘era’ (threshing circle), where there is an information board. This cache is not one of mine but I have given it elephant number 6. After the era continue along the path. Just after crossing a bridge where the path turns right there is a side path up to the left, which leads to Elefante 7 Una sorpresa agradable – Atalbéitar GC6FD1C. If you want to omit that one carry on along the main path, waymarked red and white, across a patch of open rock to a fork in the path, where you can take the left fork for Elefante 8 Roca de ejercicio / Exercise rock – Busquístar GC6FD5B or the right fork to go directly down to the river at the mill and Elefante 8.5 Molino Arabe GC6Q9JZ.

** This valley, the lower part of La Taha, is a particularly lovely area. It is presided over by the mountain across the river to the south, the proper name of which is 'Corona', but which looks rather like a sleeping elephant. Its head is to the left with a clearly marked ear - use your imagination! So this series is called 'Under the Elephant'. See the bookmark list Debajo el Elefante - Under the Elephant. It celebrates the several villages in the valley and with some pre-existing caches outlines a nice circular walk. The full walk takes about four hours, not including stops for refreshment and caching. Especially in hot weather you should carry water; there is none between a few hundred metres east of Ferreirola and Fondales. There are several shorter walks possible staying on the north side of the river.
