Pipe Dreams II Traditional Cache

This cache is hidden a short distance from a paved pathway with a good view of the unfinished Three Sisters golf course. Construction of the course commenced after final approval was granted in 2004. In 2009 the project went into receivership. In September 2013 the project was sold out of receivership. It'll be interesting to see whether the golf course and resort pipe dreams become reality over the next few years.

Elk can often be spotted grazing along either side of the pathway, which offers excellent views of Ha Ling and Mount Rundle

This is one of ten geocaches in our Parkway Challenge Series. All caches in the series are placed in close proximity to the network of pathways along either side of the Three Sisters Parkway. The challenge is to find and sign the official log for all ten geocaches. There’s no set order for finding the caches and no information to collect. We’ll reward the first five geocaching accounts to complete the challenge with an unactivated GeoKs’ geocoin, delivered via snail mail unless alternate arrangements are made.

The terrain rating for all caches in the series is two or lower. We rode bikes or walked to place all the caches in their hiding spots. The difficulty ratings range from 1.5 to 5. Several caches in the series are highly engineered. Brute force is NOT required. Brain power IS required. If you can't open a cache in this series, there's probably something about the cache container that you haven't yet figured out. Please re-read the cache title, description and hint (if any) for any information you may have overlooked and then try again.

You a searching for a small lock 'n' lock. When placed, it included a log sheet and pencil, but to be on the safe side we recommend you BYOP.

This cache has been put back in services to allow cachers to complete the Parkway Challenge series of 10 caches. Since this is a reprise of the earlier cache there will be no FTF prize.

NOTE: This area is frequented by wildlife, including elk, deer and occasionally coyotes, bears and/or cougars. Please be WILDSMART - make lots of noise and carry bear spray (and know how to use it).

The closest parking is at the corner of Miskow Close. To access the paved pathway, look for the metal post and large stone trail markers.
