I is for Irons Bottom
I is a slightly tricky letter in as much as there would appear to be only the one place, Irons Bottom, that starts with an I in the whole of Surrey. Anyway, one is enough, though with a number of existing caches, I've made it into a three stage Multi to avoid proximity issues. There is parking close by the posted co-ordinates.
Stage 1
At the posted co-ordinates you used to able to find a phone number but no longer, though as at October 2017 the phone box still remained. With your back to the footpath (which you will shortly take) on the opposite side of the road, to the far right is a Public House. Let A be the number of horseshoes. To the far left the last house has a name: XXXXX COTTAGE. Let BCDEF be the values of the letters of the first word, where A=1, B=2, etc.
The next stage, a triple potted container at the bottom of the small range, is to be found at N51 12.(D-A)(E-C-A)(C-D) W000 12.(E-F)(A+D)(B-F)
Stage 2
In the container here you will find the values for substitution into the following formula.
The final can be found at N51 12.(S)(T)(U) W000 13.(Q)(R+U)(P+Q)
