$CCC$ -Jamaican Dollar Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Cold Cache Crew: [blue][b]Unfortunately, this one bites the dust 4 days early. A cacher called me up saying they found the bolt and ziptie but nothing else. I happened to be over here getting gas and stopped by to find the same thing. Until I turned around and looked on the ground. There it was about 5-6 feet away. And some people call themselves geocachers! [:)]

Unfortunately the container was not fixable and being so close to the end of the season, I'm just going to archive it. Container has been removed. Sorry for any inconvenience but sometimes these things happen.

Geocache Description:

Jamaican Dollar

The dollar has been the currency of Jamaica since 1969. It is often abbreviated "J$", the J serving to distinguish it from other dollar-denominated currencies. It is divided into 100 cents. The Jamaican dollar was used not only by Jamaica, but also by the Cayman Islands, a former dependency of Jamaica, until 1972. In that year, the territory stopped using the Jamaican dollar and adopted its own currency, the Cayman Islands dollar. In adopting the Jamaican dollar, Jamaica followed the pattern of South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand in that when it adopted the decimal system, it decided to use the half pound unit as opposed to the pound unit of account. The choice of the name dollar was motivated by the fact that the reduced value of the new unit corresponded more closely to the value of the US dollar than it did to the pound sterling.

This is a simple math puzzle cache.

Add up the total amount of Jamaican Dollars seen in the photo above. That's the magic number.

NORTH & WEST: Add the total dollar amount to both the north and west coordinates to get the final.
