Hier kann man während der Greifvogelflugvorführung einige Greifvögel beobachten. Zwar spielt sich vieles direkt in der Arena ab, so dass man es von hier aus nicht sehen kann, aber diejenigen Greifvögel, die etwas weiter hinausfliegen, kann man von den Startkoordinaten aus sehr gut beobachten. Und vielleicht bekommt ihr dann ja Lust auf mehr... In der Greifvogelflugvorführung könnt ihr z.B. eine Eule erleben, die zum Greifen nah lautlos über die Köpfe der Zuschauer hinwegfliegt, oder ihr könnt beobachten, wie der Falke seine Beute schlägt.

During the bird of prey demonstration you can watch several birds of prey from here. Even though lots of action can be seen from the arena only, you will be able to see those birds of prey that fly out a bit. And maybe you will then feel like you want to see more... In the bird of prey demonstration you can for example watch an owl that flies closely over the heads of the visitors, loudlessly, or you can see how the falcon catches his prey.

Je nach Windstärke und Windrichtung kann man an den Startkoordinaten während der Greifvogelflugvorführung die Erklärungen des Falkners gut verstehen. Freitags und im Winter gibt es jedoch leider normalerweise keine Vorführungen. Leider ist an den Startkoordinaten gerade eine Landschaftsbaustelle - möglicherweise wird man die Startkoordinaten bald nicht mehr erreichen können. Ihr könnt den gesuchten Wert A notfalls aber auch durch Ausprobieren ermitteln. Nach Fertigstellung der Baustelle werde ich die Aufgaben anpassen.

Während der Greifvogelflugvorführung dürfen im Poinger Wildpark Adler, Falke und Eule regelmäßig frei fliegen, und sich selbst entscheiden, ob sie in den Wildpark zurückkehren möchten oder nicht. Oft sieht man auch weitere Greifvögel. Die jeweils aktuellen Flugzeiten entnehmt ihr am besten der Webseite des Betreibers. Hier der Stand vom Dezember 2014 (aus www.wildpark-poing.net/startseite/öffnungszeiten/):
Greifvogelflugvorführung findet jedes Jahr vom 1. April bis 3. November statt.
Freitags gibt es keine Vorführung, ausgenommen Feiertage und Ferien.
Vormittags beginnt die Vorführung um 10.30 Uhr, an Feiertagen, während den Schulferien und am Wochenende um 11 Uhr, und am Nachmittag jeweils um 15 Uhr.

Da leider keine zwei Wochen nach dem Publish der erste Cache bereits kaputt war (danke an den ehrlichen Cacher, der sich gemeldet und den Schaden ersetzt hat), hier noch ein paar Worte zum Final: der Cache ist an den Koordinaten befestigt. Jeder Versuch, ihn von dort wegzuschaffen, würde ihn zerstören. Laß' den Cache daher bitte an Ort und Stelle und drehe einfach nur vorsichtig den Deckel des PETlings ab. Halte bitte auch Kinder davon ab, den Cache stürmisch zu bergen. Wenn Du Dich an diese Anweisungen hältst, dann wird der neue Cache sicherlich deutlich länger halten als der alte! (Update Dezember 2016: Leider ist der Cache ein weiteres Mal kaputt gemacht worden, und nun nur noch notdürftig mit Kabelbindern befestigt - obige Hinweise gelten aber trotzdem!)

An den Koordinaten findest Du einen Platz, auf dem während der Greifvogelschau immer wieder Greifvögel landen. Von wie vielen dreieckigen Stützen wird diese Platform getragen?

• Da sich der Gegenstand am Final nicht wegbewegen lässt, ziehe ich den PETling aus dem Gegenstand heraus, und logge dann geschützt vor Muggels. C=141
• Da der PETling fest mit dem umgebenden Gegenstand verbunden ist, nehme ich den Gegenstand inklusive PETling mit an einen geschützten Ort, wo ich dann den Deckel abdrehe, ohne dabei den PETling aus dem Gegenstand zu ziehen. C=125
• Ich versuche nicht, PETling oder Gegenstand vom Fundort fort zu bewegen, denn das würde den Cache zerstören. Ich drehe einfach nur den Deckel ab, und gelange so ans Logbuch. C=56

Depending on the wind, you might be able to listen to the German words of the person who is demonstrating the birds of prey. Too bad, on Fridays and in winter, there are usually no bird of prey demonstrations. At the moment, there's some construction work going one. You might be unable to reach the start, but you can still solve the cache by trying out the possible values for 'A'. Once the construction work is completed, I will rework my listing.

During the bird of prey demonstration, eagle, falcon and owl will normally fly out, and decide if they want to return to the wild park or not. Often, you can also see further birds of prey. For a time table of the demonstrations, it is best to visit the web page of the Poing wild park. Below you find the time table as of December 2014 (translated from http://www.wildpark-poing.net/startseite/öffnungszeiten/):
Bird of prey demonstration each year from April, 1st until November 3rd.
No demonstration on Fridays, unless it is a public holiday or Bavarian vacation time.
In the morning, demonstration starts at 10:30am, on public holidays, during Bavarian vacation and at the week end at 11:00am, and at the afternoon, it will be at 3pm.

Since the 1st cache got broken less than two weeks after the publish (thank you for the honest cacher who has contacted me and who has paid for the damage), here a few words about the final: the cache is attached to the coordinates. Any try to remove it from there, would destroy it. Please don't try to remove the cache from there, just unscrew the lid of the PETling. Please also make sure that children don't hunt after the cache. If you follow these instructions, then I'm sure that this cache will last a lot longer than the first one! (Update Dec. 2016: unfortunately, somebody broke the cache again, so you will find it somewhat damaged. The notes about treatment of the cache still apply!)

• Since it is not possible to move the object, I pull the PETling out of the object and make sure that no muggles are watching while I am logging. C=141
