Kenai Municipal Park, south Picnic Shelter parking lot, on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at 2:00PM
The City of Kenai Parks and Recreation Department has been very good to us over the years in letting us use this park for our annual Caching on the Kenai picnic event. During the picnic this year, I noticed a higher than normal amount of litter in the park. Unfortunately, we didn't have time during the picnic to do a lot of CITO. So, I'm heading back to one of my favorite city parks armed with some trash bags to spend about an hour walking the park and picking up any litter that we can find. More hands make for lighter work, so I hope to have some local cachers come out and join me. Bring some gloves. I will have all the trash bags we need.
Attending this CITO will also earn you one of the 7 Souvenirs of August challenge that is being run by Geocaching HQ this month. You can get the "Nature Lover" souvenir by attending this event. You can also get the "Socializer" souvenir by attending Cup'a Joe with Puzzlemaster JOAT at 11:00AM in Soldotna on Saturday, August 16 for International Geocaching Day.
