Meet at the coffee shop for a short social event on International Geocaching Day, August 16, 2014 at 11:00 AM
No purchase necessary to attend. Meet promptly at 11:00AM and the event will not exceed one hour, though you do not have to stay for the entire event to get credit for attending. Local cacher SSO JOAT will be on hand for as long as it takes to down a super-sized vanilla mocha. During this time, he will be unable to keep all the secrets of his puzzle caches from those who ask the right questions. So, if you've been working on some JOAT puzzles and have found yourself stuck, bring your notes along and get a nudge toward the correct solution.
In addition to celebrating International Geocaching Day, this event is being set up to give Central Kenai Peninsula cachers a chance to log an event cache as part of the 7 Souvenirs of August challenge being run by Geocaching HQ. If you attend this event, you will get the "Socializer" souvenir added to your GC profile. You should also plan to join me on Sunday, August 17th at 2:00PM for the Kenai Municipal Park CITO event to earn the "Nature Lover" souvenir while helping us pick up all the trash in this great Kenai city park.
