DIRKA V LOVU NA LISICO

Dirka je namenjena lovu na serijo 8 lisic s pomočjo GPS naprave, ki podpira Wherigo kartuše.

Wherigo kartuše lahko igrate na Garminovih napravah (Colorado, Oregon), podpirajo jih pa tudi pametni telefoni s pomočjo aplikacij:

• WhereYouGo za Android
• Wherigo za iOS (iPhone, iPad)
• OpenWIG za Windows Mobile, Nokia (Symbian) in BlackBerry
• Wherigo Player za Pocket PC

Za "trening" lova na lisico lahko najprej odigrate Wherigo kartušo Lov na lisico (Fox hunting).

Wherigo kartuša vam omogoča "poslušanje" oglašanja teh lisic. Lisice se izmenično oglašajo eno minuto. Vsaka izmed lisic je vmesni zaklad (stage) z vpisnim listom in geslom za odklep lisice.

Pri vsakem oglašanju dobite informacijo v kateri smeri se lisica nahaja, ne pa tudi razdalje ali dejanskih koordinat.
Manjši namig: Če ste si pri zakladu Lov na lisico (Fox hunting) pomagali s šestilom, si lahko tukaj pomagate z ravnilom . Vsekakor je pa zemljevid nepogrešljiv pripomoček.

Najprej se oglaša 7 lisic (vse razen Alfa), ki jih morate poiskati. Ko med oglašanjem najdete pravo zono, dobite dodatne informacije za najdbo zaklada. Ko najdete zaklad imate zraven vpisnega lista še geslo za odklep lisice (geslo ostane v zakladu) v Wherigo kartuši.

Ko odklenete teh 7 lisic, se začne brez prekinitev oglašati samo še Alfa. Ko najdete lisico Alfa, ste našli Wherigo zaklad FOX RACE.

Če si FTF še ne pomeni, da si najhitrejši

Pri tem zakladu tekmujete za čas. Ko najdete vseh 8 lisic vam Wherigo kartuša napiše kodo, s katero lahko uveljavite mesto na lestvici najhitrejših. Šteje čas od zagona kartuše do odklepa zadnje lisice.
Če se kartuša "sesuje" ali jo zaprete, brez da bi jo prej shranili, morate ponovno obiskati zone vseh lisic ter jih na mestu odkleniti z geslom.

Kot preventiva je kartuša sprogramirana, da se samodejno shrani ob odklepu katerekoli lisice.

Vseeno bodite pripravljeni na morebitno nestabilnost predvajalnikov Wherigo kartuš. Med najbolj stabilne predvajalnike spadajo aplikacije na pametnih telefonih, vendar bomo kartuše tudi temeljito testirali tudi na Garmin napravah.
Če imate možnost, imejte s seboj več naprav.

Optimalna pot za obisk vseh lisic je dolga okrog 10 km. Zaželjena je uporaba koles, lahko pa se na pot odpravite tudi peš.
Vse lisice se nahajajo v bližini (stranskih) cest, zahtevnost terena s kolesom je primerna tudi za otroke.
V bližini se nahaja letališka steza. Za najdbo zakladov steze ni potrebno prečkati.

Try to find 8 foxes with the help of a GPS device with support for Wherigo cartriges.

Wherigo cartrige helps you to "listen" to the sound of the fox. Each fox makes a sound every minute, and each fox is a cache (stage) with a logbook and a password to unlock the fox in the cartrige.

Each sound gives you information in which direction the fox is located, but not the distance to it or the actual coordinates.
Small hint: If you used a pair of compasses to find Lov na lisico (Fox hunting) you can use a ruler now . Also, a map is an indispensable accessory.

At first only 7 of the foxes make a sound (all except Alfa). When you're in the right zone while the fox is making sounds, you'll get extra information to find the box. When you find the cache, you have a password to unlock the fox in the cache. Leave the password in the box!

When you unlock those 7 foxes, Alfa begins to make sounds without interruptions. When you find Alfa fox, you have found the FOX RACE Wherigo cache.

If you're FTF it doesn't mean you're the fastest

Time is also a factor. When you find all 8 foxes the Wherigo cartrige will display a code which you can use to publish your score. The fastest player has the shortest time taken to start the cartrige and unlock the last fox.
If the cartrige "crashes" or you close it without saving, you will need to revisit all zones and unlock the foxes in place.

To prevent these situations the cartrige is programmed to save automatically when the fox is unlocked.

If you can, have more devices with you that can play Wherigo cartriges. The most stable Wherigo players are applications on smartphones, but we will also test Garmin devices.

Shortest path to find all foxes has the length of about 10 km. We recommend using a bike, but you can also do it by foot.
All foxes are located in the vicinity of side streets. Terrain difficulty is also suitable for children.
There is an airport runway nearby. To find the caches you do not need to cross the runway.
