Hall Field Stroll: 5 – Con Ewe Believe It? Traditional Geocache

This cache is temporarily unavailable.

Hanoosh: Hi

This cache has been flagged by Geocaching HQ as one that may need attention.

It would appear that this cache may benefit from some attention by the cache owner as it has either not been found for a while or there is a reported issue with the cache. May I ask that you check the cache to confirm it is still in situ and/or deal with any maintenance required and/or give an indication of when it may be up and running again for people to find.

If there is no response to this log after 30 days I will archive the cache. In the meantime I am disabling the cache.

Guidelines:

  • You are responsible for occasional visits to your cache to ensure it is in proper working order, especially when someone reports a problem with the cache (missing, damaged, wet, etc.) or posts a Needs Maintenance log. Temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to search for it until you have addressed the problem.

You are permitted a reasonable amount of time - generally, up to 4 weeks – in which to check on your cache. If a cache is not being maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an unreasonable length of time, we may archive the listing.

Could the cache owner please place a note on the cache page so that other cachers and I can see what your intentions are.

If you no longer wish to maintain the cache then the listing should be archived.

Please DO NOT send an email about this cache in case I do not receive it. Posting a reviewer note will ensure your cache does not get archived in error.

Please note that the guidelines say that if a cache is archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ staff for lack of maintenance then it will not be unarchived. Here is the link to the relevant part of the guidelines Ownership after publication.

Regards

Geocache Description:

General Information:

The Hall Field Stroll is a circular walk approximately 1.5 miles in length.  It is a flat easy walk along clearly marked and well maintained footpaths. The route is pushchair accessible (providing you have a sturdy pushchair!) with at least half of the route on a solid path.  The rest of the walk is along well used farm tracks which can get muddy if wet. There are no stiles.

The whole route consists of 5 caches all of which are boxes large enough to contain swaps. We have purposely made the caches easy to finds so that the walk is family friendly.

The route passes the following places of interest:
  • Great Bardfield Church which is open to visitor during the day. For all you campanologists there is a ring of 8 bells and practice night is Wednesday evening from 19:30, Sunday ringing 09:50-10:20. For more information about the church see http://www.achurchnearyou.com/great-bardfield-st-mary-the-virgin/
  • Great Bardfield playing field with a children’s play area and football goal-posts.

Parking is available throughout the village.

You may wish to extend your search for caches by also doing the “Cludo Trail” and/or the “Church Micro 2896…Great Bardfield”.

Cache Information:

You are looking for a medium-sized clip box inside a camo bag. The box contains some swaps, a log book and pencil. Please replace the Cache as found, thank you.

Where Next?

When you’re ready to move on continue along the footpath back to Great Bardfield. You may wish to seek the “Church Micro 2896…Great Bardfield” cache on your way.
