Floridita Bar & Restaurant is a historic fish restaurant and cocktail bar located at the end of Calle Obispo (Bishop Street), across Monserrate Street.

The restaurant traces its history back about 200 years, when it was first named "La Piña de Plata" (The Silver Pineapple). At the turn of the 20th century, the large number of American tourists convinced the owner to switch the name to El Floridita.

The bar is said to be the home of the Daiquiri cocktail. The restaurant's seafood is excellent, albeit dearly priced.

The bar has been host to many intellectuals and writers over the years. Earnest Hemingway was a frequent visitor. His statue still presides at the end of the bar. More recently, Jack Nicholson was known to frequent the bar.

The restaurant and bar are still open to the public.
