This gate is the western entrance of the Zoological Garden in Nerlin, Germany’s oldest zoological garden and home to the world’s largest variety of species.

The gate is of wrought iron with parts painted gold, including peacocks at the top of the gates.

The large stone pillars flanking the gates have carved animal heads and surmounted by large lions.
