EN: The wastewater treatment plant of the Murten region is located in a wooded area north of Muntelier. It processes the wastewater of eleven municipalities in the region. The water is first biologically purified with the aid of microorganisms, then filtered in several stages and finally the remaining phosphate is chemically bound.

At present there are plans to enlarge the plant and abandon the ARA in Kerzers, then there would be seven more communities participating.

DE: Die Abwasserreinigungsanlage der Region Murten liegt in einem Waldstück nördlich von Muntelier. Sie verarbeitet die Abwässer von elf Gemeinden der Region. Das Wasser wird zuersst mit Hilfe von Mikroorganismen biologisch gereinigt, danach in mehreren Stufen gefiltert und zuletzt wird das verbliebene Phosphat chemisch gebunden.

Zur Zeit gibt es Pläne, die Anlage zu vergrössern und die ARA in Kerzers aufzuheben, dann kämen noch sieben weitere Gemeinden dazu.
