A utility box decorated with photographs from from the Alaska State Library depicts scenes from the early days of Juneau. It is located in front of the famous Red Dog Saloon at 278 South Franklin Street, Juneau, AK.

This utility box is vinyl wrapped with historic images from the Juneau in the first half of the 20th century. The large image on the south side is that of the Alaska Juneau Mine. An inscription in the upper right corner explains the photo:

The Alaska Juneau (AJ) mine operated from 1917 to
1944, producing 90 million tons of gold-bearing ore,
and was one of the largest mines in the world at the
time. In the 1930's the AJ mine employed around 1000
people, produced 12,000 tons of ore per day and
operated 24 hours a day, 363 days a year. the mine
continued operation until it was closed in 1944.

The west side contains an image of the City Brewery and Log Cabin Soda buildings. The east side has an image depicting Alaska Airlines showing pilots in front of a propeller aircraft. The north side is not decorated.
