The archives attest to the presence of an organ in the collegiate since the end of the 16th century, but the current great organ replaced it in 1777. This great organ was built in 1751-1754, for the Saint-Pierre church -and-Saint-Paul de Langres, by Karl-Joseph Riepp, factor installed in Dijon.
The instrument was acquired in 1777 by the collegiate of Semur: it is Joseph Rabiny, nephew and pupil of Riepp, which assured the transport of the organ and its installation.
The 18th century sideboard has been preserved but its carved decoration was modified in 1990-1992.
The console, in window, has three manual keyboards (positive back, 8 games, large organ, 13 games, echo, 3 games) and a pedal (6 games).

Les archives attestent la présence d'un orgue, dans la collégiale, dès la fin du 16e siècle, mais le grand orgue actuel l'a remplacé en 1777. Ce grand orgue fut construit en 1751-1754, pour l'église Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul de Langres, par Karl-Joseph Riepp, facteur installé à Dijon.
