The Paringa Bridge was built in 1927 for the railway extension over the River Murray to Renmark. It originally carried a single-track railway and road traffic via cantilevered roadways on both sides of the central spans. The lifting span of the bridge is a 25m wide lift that is counter-balanced which can be raised 15m to allow houseboats and other craft to pass under
The bridge opens daily at 0930 and 1430
