EN: The railway sation of Sugiez is located in the town quarter east of the canal. The station opened in May 1903 and was part of the Chemin de fer Fribourg–Morat–Anet. In the same year the line was electrified. The used a method very uncommon in Switzerland. Because they shared a part of the tracks with the Swiss Federal Rail, who did not want
overhead contact lines, the electricity was supplied by a third track on the ground. In 1942 the FMA merged with the BR to become the GFM (Chemins de fer fribourgeois Gruyère–Fribourg–Morat). Since 2000, it is part if TPF (Transports publics Fribourgeois).

The station has a main building with a canopy towards the tracks, where the waiting area and the ticket machines are. It has two outbuilding that are quite far away from the main building on both sides and large parking spaces in between. This looks like there is some considerable freight traffic. When it comes to passenger transportation, today two commuter train lines stop here with two connections to Fribourg every hour and one to Ins/Anet and Neuchâtel each.

La gare a un bâtiment principal avec un auvent vers les voies, où se trouvent la salle d'attente et les distributeurs de billets. Il possède deux dépendances assez éloignées du bâtiment principal des deux côtés et de grandes places de stationnement entre les deux. Cela ressemble à un trafic de fret considérable. En ce qui concerne le transport de passagers, deux lignes de train de banlieue s’y arrêtent aujourd’hui. Elles assurent deux liaisons par heure avec Fribourg et une liaison entre Ins / Anet et Neuchâtel.
