The history of Christ Church goes back to 1851, when residents of Yankalilla district began collections to built and Anglican church. Land was bought in 1856, and the original church built in 1857 - with minor extensions since.

The Guest Book is in the Foyer/covered Porch (which was added in 1892). The Church is open daily for inspection from 10am to 4pm.
