In Providence, within Roger Williams Park, is the Natural History Museum, which has many post cards of it, including this one published in 1930-1945.

To get to this location, follow signs to the Roger Williams Park Zoo, then go one more intersection to the east. Go right on that road and drive a short distance to the museum on the left.

The spot is approximately south west of the front of the museum and either on the road or just across the street. The image is a painted or colorized image that is a little bright on the orange on the building. There is white trim on the corners and window frames where there is light sandstone. The roof is steeply set and has a sharp peak. The area above the main entrance is elaborate and has a clock face. In the post card, the building faces left.

The post card used is from the Boston Public Library "Digital Commonwealth" collection (OK, so it's not exactly in Massachuetts - so they wander a bit). I could only find the front face. There is much information about the card, though. The site says that this post card was c. 1930 - 1945. The title is "Natural History Museum, Roger Williams Park, Providence, R.I." The publisher was "The Rhode Island News Company Tichnor Quality Views".

The building, today, looks like the building as shown in the postcard. The north wing was added prior to the post card. The planetarium was added in the 1950s, but you can't see it from this angle (It is in the center-rear of the top floor).
