The reformed parish church of Môtier has a very nice clock at the south side of the tower.

EN: The reformed church of Môtier stand in the west of the village at the road to Haut-Vully.
The clock has a black face with golden Roman numbers and golden hands.The face has a square red frame with nice golden ornaments. I could not find any information when this clock was mounted. It cannot have been there since the beginning, the church is too old for that.
The church dates back to the 11th century and is much older than the surrounding village, that probably evolved from a monastery - "Môtier" derives from the Latin "monasterium" - but I could not find any details about it.
The oldest part of the church is the Romanesque tower. The Gothic chancel was rebuilt in the 15th century and the nave was enlarged in the 1820s, which is eassy to tell by the different styles of the façade and the windows. In 2009 the tower was damaged by a heavy storm and had to be renovated.
Starting as a Roman Catholic church in the Middle Ages, the community joined the reformation in 1530 and today belongs to the Evangelical-Reformed church.

L'horloge a un cadran noir avec des chiffres romains dorés et des aiguilles dorées. Je n'ai trouvé aucune information lorsque cette horloge a été montée. Cela n'a pas pu être là depuis le début, l'église est trop vieille pour ça.
