The Planetarium of Ostrava was opened in 1980 as a part of the Banská Mericka base, in 2000 it was renamed to the Johann Palisade Observatory and Planetarium, and after its extensive reconstruction it acquired its current name in 2015.
The Observatory is a place where Earthlings can "touch" the universe. Come and see the silvery moon, stormy planet or mysterious nebula and galaxy!
