De Muizenberg is een ondergrondse mergelgroeve gelegen in het zuidelijke deel van de Cannerberg, grotendeels behorende tot de gemeente Riemst (België), op de grens van Nederland en België ten westen van grenspaal 70.
De groeve van 8 ha is op 11 mei 1926 grotendeels (5,5 hectare) ingestort. De dag voorafgaande aan de instorting deden in het nabijgelegen dorp Kanne al geruchten de ronde dat er in de groeve ongebruikelijke grondverplaatsingen werden waargenomen. Tijdens de instorting waren 6 werklieden bezig om in alle haast de laatste mergelblokken uit de groeve te vervoeren. Op het moment van de instorting stonden er zeven champignonkwekers opzij van de ingang bij in een bakstenen onderkomen. Door de luchtdruk werden de zeven mensen tegen het talud van de nabijgelegen weg geworpen. Twee van hen kwamen daarbij om het leven. Vier van de zes mensen in de groeve probeerden aan de instorting te ontkomen, maar als gevolg van de luchtdruk overleed een van hen. De twee die in de groeve achterbleven werden met paard en wagen bedolven.

The Muizenberg is an underground marl quarry located in the southern part of the Cannerberg, largely belonging to the municipality of Riemst (Belgium), on the border of the Netherlands and Belgium to the west of landmark 70.
The quarry of 8 hectares has largely collapsed on 11 May 1926 (5.5 hectares). The day before the collapse, there were already rumors in the nearby village of Kanne that unusual soil movements were observed in the quarry. During the collapse 6 workmen were busy hastily transporting the last marl blocks from the quarry. At the time of the collapse seven mushroom growers were standing aside from the entrance in a brick shelter. Due to the air pressure, the seven people were thrown against the slope of the nearby road. Two of them were killed. Four of the six people in the quarry tried to escape the collapse, but one of them died as a result of the air pressure. The two who stayed behind in the quarry were buried with horse and wagon.
