The old lime tree stew, known in the vernacular as 'Bedeu Beumke' or 'Widooie Boompje', is an old border tree along the Herenbaan. A solitary tree is already present on historical maps at this location. The stove is on the border between the three boroughs Piringen, Widooie and Koninksem. In addition, the lime tree also functioned as a corner tree to clearly distinguish a number of administrative plots in the landscape. The lime tree would have been struck by lightning, so that several tribes would start to emerge from the old root system.
