The Prince County Memorial commemorates the deaths of three Afghanistan soldiers.

The soldiers who are commemorated are:
* Frank R. Mellish - Aged 38. He was one of four Canadian soldiers killed and nine others wounded during heavy fighting as part of a major International Security Assistance Force air and ground offensive against Taliban insurgents approximately 15 km west of Kandahar City, Afghanistan.

* Nicholas A. Bulger - Aged 30. He was killed and five other soldiers injured when an improvised explosive device detonated near their armoured vehicle during a patrol in the Zhari District approximately 60 km southwest of Kandahar City. (visit link)

* Nichola K.S. Goddard - Aged 26. She was the first female Canadian combat soldier killed in combat, and the 16th Canadian soldier killed in Canadian operations in Afghanistan. As a Captain, she was standing half-exposed in her LAV III, which was hit by two rocket-propelled grenades early in a battle in the Punjwaye District near Kandahar. (visit link)
